The Damned United - the Profile of a Driven Man

Yesterday I saw the film depicting Brian Clough and his time at Leeds United.

The tipping point as created by the director was the apparent snubbuing of Mr. Clought by a hero figure and fellow manager from teh top club of the day.

I was left wondering about the impact if he had been able to reframe this eposide?

Would he still have made teh success he did. It seemed as iof the snubbing produced alot of motivation for his success. I am not sure if this was true but it lead to an interesting question:

Are there times when people could use NLP techniques to achieve a "better" state at that moment and lose soemthing of value in the long run?

Watching the rest of the film I felt he would have benefitted from a better sense of perspetive along the way.

    Cheers.

There are indeed times when reframing is a trite response for the matter at hand. Someone tried to do something along those lines at a time when I'd heard of a death in the family, and I very nearly hit them. Wish I had done, in fact.
