Hi Guys
I am fairly new to the forum and was wondering if you could help me. I am very interested in Language Patterns and wanted to build a collection of language pattern examples to keep reading. I am looking for specific examples not just the pattern i.e not just Have you Ever.... but have you ever felt completely relaxed before.

I figured the easiest way (in addition to writing out my own - which I have just started doing) would be to ask other NLPers to share any patterns they have written down and then compile it all together for some useful tube reading.

If you have lists of patterns written down as part of practicing NLP would really appreciate if you dont mind sharing these.

If it is handwritten I can give you my email address and maybe you can scan it and email

Thanks for your help
vik

Go to http://www.saladltd.co.uk/ and have a look round there. There's a newsletter and all sorts of stuff. The site is run by Jamie Smart.

Jamie is a regular contributor here, but he's shy and might not tell you about his stuff!

ROTFLMAO

Jamie's newsletter is packed full of that sort of stuff. Also, Google "Weasel phrases" and/or "suggestive predicates"... Dan Scorpio's page should come up somewhere in the results

Welcome Vik

I would echo the reference to Jamie's stuff.

In addition, I'm curious to know how much you will learn as you read (Time for a Change)i by Richard Bandler

I wouldn't want to tell you to have a look at Dr Richard Bolstad's (Resolve: A New Model of Therapy)i because I'm sure you're already aware of the information in there to help you build language patterns to suit clients.

Hope the form and the content of the post are a help!

Cheers

Carl

Hi Vikesh

Great idea (pooling language patterns). It is worth noting that language comprehension (eg. reading or listening to a pattern) uses different "neural circuits" from language production (ie. speaking a pattern).

In my experience, reading language patterns is a good start, but you'll be particularly surprised at how quickly your skills begin to increase as you begin to put the patterns into practice more and more frequently.

For some suggestions / tips for increasing your linguistic skills, check out the free ebooks that go with the influence tips, hypnotic language tips, & coaching language tips at the Salad homepage, www.saladltd.co.uk.

If I weren't so cripplingly shy, I'd probably say something like "Buy a set of all the Salad cards for yourself", because they're such a powerful method for building your language skills fast. :-)

Good luck in your quest!

Best wishes
Jamie
