Yes I know NLP is all about process and not content but I don’t see how anyone can do practitioner training let alone any of the others more advanced varieties without coming through it a different person in some way unless you attend the training purely as a therapeutic process I which understand many do. I suppose some may also attend to learn skills like a motor mechanic would but I suspect that if we were to model skilled and experienced NLP’ers, trainers, therapists and the like you would find some common or shared beliefs – whatever they may be.

It could be any context but one area for me was reframing beliefs and accepting in effect that there is no great universal truth and that all beliefs are valid and equally personal and consequently do not represent real life except for that person. There could be many other issues that people now think differently about as a result of the training they have done (NOTE - The plural of TRAINING is TRAINING).

Given that and the power of the meta-model especially to seek a deeper understanding for both sides perhaps it completely baffles me how anyone could come through this type of training and still have any sort of belief in a divine creator, supernatural being, intelligent designer, God or whatever you want to call him/her/it.

As always this represents my map of the world and no one else’s unless they agree with me in which case we may have a shared map in some parts but not all, probably.
