I attempted to make a new account with my current email address but it only gives you the login screen every time. I even tried altering part of the url from login to register and that did not work either.

Plus you can't even change your password once you do a password reset, which by the way, this is the first forum I have seen to where you cannot change your own password or email address.

Hey all

I run a monthly group in Central London called "Interesting Talks". It is a large group on meetup with close to 1000 members. I currently have 1 event per month, however I am going to be increasing this to 2 events per month from April. The events typically sell out and can hold 60 people.

Although the group isn't strictly an NLP group, most of the talks focus on some aspect of NLP or self development. We have had some amazing speakers from the NLP world including James Tripp, Judy Rees, Ian Rowland to name but a few.

This group has a fantastic reputation and is gaining momentum each month. If you are interested in getting involved and giving a talk, then please email me or message me and we can talk.

The website for the group is Interesting Talks where you can see photos, reviews, past events and upcoming events.

Thanks for your time

 THE PURPOSE OF PAIN

John-David Biggs will be holding an evening of enquiry and practical investigation into the matter of Pain, and in particular Chronic pain, which is his speciality in his work as a Chronic Pain Detective.
Everyone understands the value of pain as the warning system of a healthy body when danger threatens. Get too close to a fire and we become uncomfortable and move back.
Pick up a plate that’s been in the oven and instant pain will have us drop it.
Break a limb and pain will prevent us moving it lest we cause further damage.
But what about pain that doesn’t have an obvious cause? How do we look for deeper causes? And does pain have other purposes?
Is it a sign that we need to grow? Growing pains? Is it a sign that we are healing? An itchy scab?
As always, John-David asks that we bring our ailments with us to this talk, and see if any are due for release!
In addition, individuals who have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis may find this evening particularly interesting, as he is working with special interest in this field.

Interesting Talks is proud to present “Shouting at the Deaf - metaphor structure and therapeutic intervention” by Andrew T Austin

NLP practitioners are usually very good at matching sensory modalities, Master Practitioners are very good at pacing modalities and leading into sensory overlap. NLP trainers, one would hope, are able to pace, lead and overlap submodalities. However, how many NLPers are able to pace and lead the logical structure of their clients reasoning and problem solving ability?

All the information is there, we just have to know how and what to listen for. So often it gets missed. The client expresses it perfectly, but no one hears. They might as well be shouting at the deaf.

In this introduction to his body of work entitled, Metaphors of Movement, Andrew T. Austin will demonstrate how to hear the exact structure of the client's problem and how to design a specific and exact intervention that doesn't rely on a set routine of applied techniques in the hope that one will work.

Formerly a registered nurse working in clinical neurology and neurosurgery, Andrew began his nursing career in Accident and Emergency. Working in A&E he quickly developed a strong reputation for working with the many psychiatric and mental health related emergencies that were frequently presented to the department.

It was during this period in 1994 that he began training in hypnosis and therapy at the Royal Masonic Hospital in London and his interest in psychotherapy and neurolinguistics grew. Andrew is the founding designer and trainer of Integral Eye Movement Therapy IEMT, and Metaphors of Movement

This event is on Wednesday 23rd May in Piccadilly Central London. Tickets are just £5, half of which have gone already.
