ok will do.. if anyone has any ideas about what other uses they use 2nd position for then we can practice some of those techniques too.

I like the one Paul McKenna uses for installing self-esteem and confidence for his weight loss clients - so I will take people through that one too ... hope some can make it, bu there will be other opportuntiues. I may just do once a month and see how things pick up.

I will continue to derive inspiration for practice topics from this forum It's given me a lift as doing the introduction every week was getting a bit repetative ..time for a change eheh

I'd also suggest that 2nd position is critical for empathy

Possibly people take on the behaviours of their perceived assigned identity. I have a friend who complains about her particular religious organization that when someone is given an authority position in the church suddenly they act on that, sometimes without any more training, meaning people's responsility increases, but their knoweldge doesn't. They get a new label and they start acting differently.

I'd suggest they were stuck in first position.

The Stanford Prison Experiment: A Simulation Study of the Psychology of Imprisonment That's the official website for it. I suggest watching the slide show which explains the experiment from beginning to finish. After you read it yoi'll ne surpirsed just how much people act out roles they see on televsion.

At work most people act out as being controlling, rather than operating from the paradigm that a leader's job is to serve, with great power comes great repsonsibility.

How can we used this to clean up our world and eradicate evil? I'd say the solution is to install patterns in chidlren when they're young. Condition in patterns of frequent 2nd and 3rd position shifts. I think the problem with human beings is our nervous system doesn't come wird at birth. We're way too adpatable to our environment.

Participants made use of the 3D models of 'humans' I built to represent 1st, 2nd and 3rd Positons.

After a brief introduction I had them step into all 3 positions to find different focusses. Such as 'seeing how the boss see's you as an employee, finding solutions based on the other persons veiw of you - then going to 3rd position to offer advice to self-(1st p).

How to use it in therapy, marketing, relationships etc.

We managed to assist one person in sorting an issue with a neighbour. He concluded that a bit of research would be the simple solution and then act accordingly. And another who wanted to gain insight to a millionnaire mind set, found a raft of qualities that he could take on for his own use.

I did find that I had them flitting from all positions naturally in order to become more adept in training their mind to do a quick assessment then make some conclusions on which to make better decisons in that context.

I think entraining this skill from a younge age would be great as you suggest Sam. Particularly with all the the knife crime that is happening at the moment.

I would like to do some deep trance identification at some stage in sl practice session - so please PM me if you would like to have that session and I will give you a heads up on that.

I do typically use voice now -(sl's version of skype) so more information is gained from that extra sensory channel in terms what I am able to get across. More will be available in the future but it's in its early development stages - according to the upper SL eschelons (sry about spellng)

I shall be building some other tools for assisting coaches and coachees get a better visual of what they need to in their rl mind based on what they 'see' in sl
