MA in Coaching and NLP

Assessed, Quality Assured and Awarded by the University of Kingston



This is a robust academic qualification, recognized by the international professional coaching associations of clients who can easily understand the post graduate nature of such a qualification.

The MA in Coaching and NLP measures what you do as a result of your chosen learning path. It is structured around a personal learning contract. In conjunction with a supervisor, the student agrees the objectives for their learning, what input is required, any prior learning that may gain credits towards the qualification and decides on their own assessment topics.

Throughout the programme the student works in a learning set and is supported by a Supervisor to ensure that the learning contract meets the criteria laid down by the University.

As the student progress through the programme s/he accumulates M-level credits to the maximum of 180 required for the full Masters qualification. Credit for prior experience and learning can be applied for – an ideal arrangement for people experienced in the Coaching and NLP fields. A full Masters qualification is completed in 2-3 years on average and participants may enroll at any time. By deciding your own agenda you may speed up or slow down your progress to suit your life balance.

The Course Goals

The course aims to provide an opportunity for current and aspiring Coaching and NLP specialists to develop themselves and their expertise to the highest level of professionalism. It enables students to develop innovative knowledge and techniques that support NLP in a Coaching environment.

The course is directly relevant to the daily work of the student, enabling the organic and sustainable growth of a coach in a professional and academic environment. The action learning nature of the programme engages coaches from the start and is designed to offer flexible and personal development opportunities whilst engaging in professional practice with peers.
