Jennifer Bowden - Coaching for SMEs

The United Reformed Church Hall in Hawkenbury, Tunbridge Wells. TN2 5AW

In the current economic climate every organisation has to make the most of any competitive advantage available to them. There is strong evidence that coaching for small to medium sized enterprises is a cost-effective and a time efficient way of growing and developing skills and knowledge and experience within the organisation. This is because it focuses on what the business must achieve rather than a "sheep dip" approach which can be experienced when buying off-the-shelf learning and development training as it can be specifically focused for the individual in the context of the organisation.

Coaching can be used as a highly motivational intervention demonstrating that the organisation values the individual and that therir needs are specifically addressed. By finding the keys to unlock hidden potential and overcome challenges and barriers employees are able to perform more effectively, be more confident and enjoy the job and their life more and in the the business is more effective, so is this really a win-win situation?
