And while we're at it:

Thanks y'all -
Re: You Better Listen to the Language Skills of This Guy! Odd.. Video has been removed.. What was it? -
Re: You Better Listen to the Language Skills of This Guy! It's still there, click on the link and it'll take you there -
Re: You Better Listen to the Language Skills of This Guy! Oh right the Native American, funny how people actually lived there and it was discovered, what a rip off.
What it is, is the invaders murdered 60 million native Americans and left only 800,000, this elder explains how you mess with the water, ie polution, then you mess with the trees, then you're gonna pay!
He said we need to learn and follow the laws of the earth and not those of man, well duh! he he. He's just spooky and full of ancient wisdom from an era certain people tried to extinguish in their quest for greed, it was filmed two years ago and much of what he says is kinda happened or is very much forecast. Peace -
Re: You Better Listen to the Language Skills of This Guy! I've just typed in Native American Elders and the video comes up and works, it's in 2 parts so might be best to do it that way, but here it is again, part 1 that is:

And which one(s) did you think other people might get most benefit from?

Re: You Better Listen to the Language Skills of This Guy! Peter,
60 million??? Are you *sure*?
Venus -
Re: You Better Listen to the Language Skills of This Guy! Hi Venus, yes 60 million that's right what's up with that, don't you see the pattern, 10 million Ukranians, 2 million british and german, god knows how many Africans, god knows how many south american indians..
Seems like the western culture breeds a lot of death and disfunction.
There's a whole load of money getting paid to the governments and this is what we're getting on a consistent basis, death, famine and destruction of innocent lives in countries we have no idea about.
Why would 60 million people by so unbelievable? do you know how many red indians there were in America/canada/mexico? over the course of two hundred years?
C'mon Venus people are something and I don't know what but manipulated, conned, cashed in on, harvested all spring to mind.
Andrew, the language he's using..no?..Nothing..hmm, tut..tut
ah well the road goes ever on -
Re: You Better Listen to the Language Skills of This Guy! OK, Peter ... Whatever.
Venus -
Re: You Better Listen to the Language Skills of This Guy! Oh yeah, thanks Venus, you're so enlightened with such an open mind, really..sheesh! -

Re: You Better Listen to the Language Skills of This Guy! Okay, Peter, I watched it. The old gentleman's language skills must be so far beyond mine that I'm not hearing anything but a man talking about his spiritual beliefs and saying things about climate change that anyone might have said two years ago. That's one explanation, anyhow. The other is that this is yet another video you wanted to post on the forum about unrelated matters, and you needed a way to tie it into NLP.
I'd like to respectfully suggest that in future you pick your forum area more carefully, as when people open up a thread under "Advanced discussions about language and NLP," they expect something along those lines, or I'm mindreading they do, anyhow. And if you want to discuss language skills on a language skills forum, then by all means do so. Pooh-poohing Andrew's question doesn't really prove anything, at least to my mind.
So if there's something we're missing about the way this man is using language, and to what end and for what purpose, tell us about it. Most of us around here are in the business of learning all we can about purposeful uses of language.. -
Re: You Better Listen to the Language Skills of This Guy! Oh, and I did also watch the video that goes with the initial link. I'm even less impressed with the language skills of this character sitting in the corner in the dark and speaking a whole lot of nonsense (IMO, of course) about language that smacks of The Shaver Mysteries of the early 20th century. Except Shaver's stuff had a plot, and was marginally interesting, if equally nonsensical. "Harmony means 'harm money.'" Uh-huh...
And then he claims that YouTube made his video equipment malfunction: "I started realizing quite quickly... that 1 in 10 videos I'd do would actually process, that my video drivers would blow out all the time..."
Show us the skills, Peter. I ain't seein' em. -
Re: You Better Listen to the Language Skills of This Guy! Ok, all pooh-poohing aside, if you're really interested in stepping out of the bubble and understanding something of the messages of the spirit carried in these links, then you've begin to understand language in a different way.
It seems Andy, John, Venus and Bridgette that you don't, but you may and I'd love it if you did, it's code.
Firstly the reason eye8one2 is important is, because he steps out of the paradigms of the trappings of the english language and is prepared to expand on sleight of mouth, sleight of write, sleight of sound as well as historical means of using certain letters and words.
He's exploring many, many years of careful crafting of language, from where that came, and for what reasons. It seems the 26 letters in our alphabet are in a non-sensical order that follow an agenda that is.. interesting to say the least.
for example
4 eggs ample is enough for food, chronological ambiguity, no?
fourx am ple(r) not unlike tamplar or templar
The knights templar f(th)ought for a ca(u)se, over many centuries
sent your eyes
for x, x is a cross Jesus died on a cross for our s(ocial) i(nsurance) n(umbers) a fo(e) to the system, at the time, no?
can you f(o)llow or flow?
you have to (with) real ise(eyes) see what it is that is meant in the language, or even that which does not APPEAR to be there, and would make perfect sense if it did, appear that is.
If any should notice the structure of the language then it can be people who study NLP, maybe.
Oh, and it's all done in love, it's so seriously important to have fun and lighten up a little, don't you think? Yeah, me too! -
Re: You Better Listen to the Language Skills of This Guy! Yes, I understand that the man in the corner believes that the alphabet is a code. So did Ray Shaver. And he assured his readers that taking words apart into their alphabetic components would reveal truths they needed to know about the people who were really controlling things. Sound familiar? In his case it was evil beings who lived under the surface of the earth and warred with the good beings who lived on the surface, but I think that delusion is not in itself wackier than YouTube managing to remotely screw up nine of ten videos someone tries to produce to let people in on his secret code.
Implying that the word "sin" is an acronymic code of some kind for Social Insurance Numbers (or frankly any of the rest of the examples you provided) just doesn't work with anything I know about any language I know (does he have a separate code for every alphabetic language and others for syllabic languages written conceptually?), any language those languages derived from, or any world I personally inhabit. It does seem to go well with a man who believes YouTube is consipiring against him by making his video drivers go wonky.
I'm still not seeing language skills there, Peter, but I am seeing what appears to me to be some serious delusions.

Heheheh ... -
Native American Elder:
Native --> Nay teev --> 'Nay' = no, and 'teev' = TV
So 'native' = don't believe what you see on television (or in this case, youtube)
American --> a merry (joyful, happy, fun) can (to can = to ridicule, take the piss, etc)
So 'american' = have a great time taking the piss
Elder --> El der --> El = spanish for 'the', and der (synonymous with 'duh') = an expression that indicates a recognition of obvious ignorance
So 'elder' = the obvious ignorance that's out there
Don't you see - it all adds up! 'Native American Elder' contains the following coded message for those who have the eyes and ears to recognise it:
When you stop believing what you see on youtube, you can have a great time taking the piss out of the dumb stuff that people come up with.
Cheers,
James T -
Re: You Better Listen to the Language Skills of This Guy! Dear Bridget, so...your point is?
Wherever you encountered this delusional chap who warns people of beings that live under the ground is your business. I find language interesting and I'm more than willing to share my work in progress, I'm working out what you've said above and it adds up to a lot of cliches, as does James t's.
You have obviously read much of the language of law and are familiar with legalese and the FACT it uses english words with different meanings, check out Black's or the Oxford law dictionary, it ain't so wacky.
Oh, and it ain't WTF you should be saying as IMF, cos that's who owns your bond, obviously you know all about that, right?
Have a lurvely day, -
Re: You Better Listen to the Language Skills of This Guy! Hey James, you didn't do so bad there, it's actually great to see you activate some latent part of your brain, taking the dumb piss out of yourself, feel good heh? you know it and you know you do, let's see how long you'll be living within the confines of 26 letters, and the orderly structure you've inherited, from now on. | |
