    Mind Spa

Has anybody got any recommendations for trance CDs, MP3s or general chill out music that will go with the programs on the Mind Spa?

    Cheers

    Re: Mind Spa

    Adam,

I have used BrainSync "Increase Creativity." I don't know if it really increased my alpha and theta waves, or if I was just ready to go!

Nowadays, I can just...go! Here's what I've been listening to recently...

    [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Shakuhachi-Meditation-Music-Traditional-Contemplation/dp/1564554201/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1219015276&sr=8-3"]Shakuhachi[/ame]

Happy trancing! The best one just comes on its own...

    Cheers,

    Phil

And for comparison, you might like to also check out the Procyon which can do similar things and more.

    Re: Mind Spa

I have the proteus which is the model below the procyon and have found it very useful. It has only red and green lights so hasn't the full colour capabilities of the pocyon yet is still very effective in inducing various states. Initially when I got the machine I didn't like the inbuilt programs and so used it with the audiostrobe CDs. As I gained expereince with it, I've found the inbuilt prgrammes to be very effective.

I tend to use it for relaxation and just for fun and maybe for the odd bout of insomnia for which I find it an excellent intervention.

    Re: Mind Spa

I got the Proteus first too and I think that's very good. I then bought a MindSpa because Bandler waved it in front of me when I was in a trance and I ended up with my credit card in my hand. I was disappointed with that one: I didn't think it was as good as the Proteus, and it broke within a few months. I know others like it and have had success with it though. Recently I've been playing with a friend's Procyon and that is the best one I've tried so far. I'm about to buy one for myself. The three colour sequences are great and it has more built-in programs and more flexibility to make your own programs. You can use it with Audiostrobe CDs or the free SBAGEN sequences or create your own music CDs to use with it. Lots of cool stuff.

    Re: Mind Spa

When Bandler says his working on a new light/sound machine does he mean he had a hand in the Mindspa?

The new Mind Spa, apparently, has headphone mounted scrubbing brushes for thought cleansing

I've had a look on the site & they do one called the InnerPulse DeLuxe
which looks like it be similar to the Procyon but with a few more programs thrown in. A bit more expensive though.

    Cheers

How about scrubbing brushes for the mouths of practitioners who find it useful to swear all the time?

    Hi All

Thanks for the replies to my initial question. I find this technology fascinating. Inevitably the information has created more questions.

I understand the principle of Binaural beats, I think. So apart from the visual colour sequencing of the Procyon or Mindspa, how does this technology differ from say Centrepointe's Holosync Binaural Beat stuff? Can a similar result be achieved by playing the SBAGEN sequences?

The SGAGEN is totaly new technology to me, so endure with my current naivety.
How do I listen to the existing downloaded material?
How do I go about creating personalised custom material?
Do you use your own CD's and add Binaul beats to them?
Are the sequences downloaded onto say, an Ipod or are they listened to on a PC?

    Have a great day

    Frederic

    Re: Mind Spa

    Frederic,

I love my mind spa. It is handy to have around. I like plugging in some of the free tracks (including Bandler stuff) that came with it. I also like trying it with other tracks that have not been designed for it to see what happens.

When it comes to binaural, monaural, isochronics, etc., the very easiest program that I have found to use is SHARM - SHARM - Self-Hypnosis and Relaxation Machine. It is very cheap too.

    Hi Phil

I don't have a trancing machine but I sometimes listen to something like Shakuhachi when I am making art and I think I begin to be not aware of the music (trancing probably) and sometimes when it stops I jump and it takes me a moment to understand why.

The day Lilies are over and its Crocosmia time here - they are fantastic.

    Re: Mind Spa

    Carol,

It's so nice to hear from you.

The daylilies are long gone here too. We are on the "last roses of summer," which have their own pensive beauty.

I just looked up Crocosmia. I don't think we grow those in this part of the world! They're gorgeous...thank you for sharing that bit of sunshine (just like your personality) with me today. Wiki says that they are native to South Africa, so I don't think that they would winter over in Ohio!

Shakuhachi is wonderfully trance-inducing. I am working with other bits of music as well. Lots of different genres work for me, if the piece is right. Being a musician, the auditory can often take me a multitude of different places!

As an aside, I am thinking to thank you for your kind, helpful words back when I was not sleeping well, but that's really not on topic, now is it? Oh well...

    Cheers,

    Phil

    Re: Mind Spa

    Hi Phil

The Crocosmia cope with the deep frosts of Scottish winters well so you never know - I don't know what the climate is like in Ohio.

You are right, we are off topic - maybe we could start a thread which has no defined topic, no particular place to go.......
