    I bit of irony I stumbled on

    Has anyone else noticed the irony that nominalisation is infact a nominalisation?
    Just wondering i hav have been missing the obvious for a while

    Hi Nathan,

    I do recall making that point (that the label "nominalization" is itself a nominalizaton) to an MP class in August 1989. And the so-called "complex equivalence" is itself a complex equivalence. I have the whole thing on tape somewhere.

    See how far you get with the adjective "heterological".

    (Hint: try p189 of an excellent recent little book - Logic Made Easy, by Deborah Bennett, Penguin Books, 2004.)
