Merry Christmas to you all.

Between us we have spent a huge amount of our time this year in each others company on the NLP Connections website and I just want to take a moment to share with you my appreciation for your presence and to wish you all the success you hope for in 2009.

I think the nature of NLP attracts people who tend to share many common traits and within this crowd of people I have met the most caring, passionate and intellectually gifted people anyone could wish to have in their life.

I used to think it was a little wierd to used to hear stories about people who made friends with strangers over the internet but hey, since when did being a little weird make things wrong! I have moved towns 3 times in the last 5 years and now live many miles away from my long standing friends and family members, also, spending my working days in the company of children and stepping from the world of academia into the world of Tellytubbies and Iggle Piggle can drive a person mad. So, thanks to you all for listening to my grumbles, thank you for being a stimulating and fascinating bunch of people and I wish you all the best personal and professional success for 2009. In a world where the doom and gloom is ready to swallow us all up, knowing there are genuine people making a real difference all over the earth makes my world a much better place.

The #1 benefit is learning from the best and the rest without spending anything up front. Before this site I used to waste a lot of my money on people I thought would know a lot but they turned out not to know anything. The forum means I try before I buy and it's better.

I get to meet lots of anonymous sockpuppets!

(As well as some brilliant real people.)

Apart from that, I think it's the ability to read smart articles. Some of the best posters really stretch your mind. They're like the 2001 monolith.

I met my girlfriend here so it's been good for me.

The opportunity to read the brilliant insightful posts of some people such as Gabe Guerrero, Eric Robbie, Michael Perez, Michael Carroll, Bridget McKenna, Chris Morris, John Humberstone and many others whose name I forgot.

Someone told me recently how he'd been stuck with a problem, posted about it and had offers of assistance from people on three continents. In the end, he had a free session with a master trainer, and he told me that he'd finally let go of the problem and moved on. He felt free for the first time.

I think that's a pretty magical experience and that's what I like most about NLP Connections. All the silly sockpuppet stuff fades into insignificance when you focus on how many really talented people contribute their time to help others, and how many others share their hopes and dreams, and their enthusiasm to learn and grow. Communities are all about the members, and I feel very honoured to spend time with such a great bunch of people.

NLPC offers the chance to exchange information with some very knowledgable people and some not so (you know who you are!!).

Its has enabled me to keep up to date with developments and find out about new courses and receive some discounts!

And also gives me something to do in those moments between patients which otherwise would result in some unwise purchases off ebay

I also get to build resilience in the face of personal attack.

I know its only the minority of you using sockpuppets or claiming sockpuppetry to try to discredit my motives. Most of you behave pretty well.

As long as we all learn, this will continue to be a progressively run newsgroup.

I have learnt a lot on NlP Connections and think it's the most valid NLP site in the World in everysense of the word! There are great, interesting, friendly, knowledgeable people and there is always some super topic of conversation being discussed and or debated...

It's a wonderful place to go to when I've got a moment to check in and see what's going on.

What would NLP be without NLP Connections?

NLPConnections has introduced me to, and kept me in touch with, some of the most brilliant and caring people I've ever met (and not met, comes to that). It's like a whole world of friends and colleagues in one cozy place. Not to get all Christmassy, treacly, and sentimental on you, but you guys rock.

NLP connections allows me to make onions cry, NLP connections put the laughter in manslaughter, it allows me to cook minute rice in 30 seconds and to be used as a flotation device in an emergency. It enables me to know what Willis is talking about. It helps me split atoms with my bare hands. Thanks to NLP connections I can sneeze with my eyes open. NLP connections allows me to start every day with a protein shake made from Carnation Instant Breakfast, one dozen eggs, pure Columbian cocaine, and rattlesnake venom and take a shotgun blast standing.

Oh yeah, NLP connections cured smallpox!

The best thing has very little to do with NLP, or any other series of letters, but has a lot to do with who is in Seattle, Lorain, Birmingham, Woodford Green, Adelaide...(the list goes on and on!)

...and the contacts that have grown from those initial contacts. Amazing! Who would have thought???

People are more and more interesting all the time. Or perhaps I'm paying closer attention.

one of the things i really liked about these site is that i send a PM to Steve andreas and he answered me and also to gabriel guerrero... besides that im really starting to participate here. what i dont like that much is sometimes people get in to discussions just because "they know how things are"

This site is a fantastic resource for those who have an interest in nlp.

It is amazing how much you can learn from some of the quality of posts here. It's even more amazing how much you can learn from the not so quality posts too.

Playing with nlp is a large part of my day, and this site plays its part.

Hi everyone! I am not sure that I can put it into words...I guess that is the 'K' in me coming out, however, I am pretty hooked on this site, I log in as often as I can and find the questions people ask and the responses provided to be informative and really useful in my ongoing development in nlp! I think one of the most interesting things about this site is how it has attracted people from all parts of the world with differing levels of nlp experience to contribute posts! It is simple but totally effective...as all brilliant inventions usually are....Thanks Chris!
