Question about Voice projection.

I think of the funniest things when out on my runs . . .

Here's the question from today's waterlogged field yomp!

Voice projection.
When I did an acting course a lifetime ago the batty old tutor spoke about projecting ones voice to the back of the room.

Therefore the speaker must use some internal method to acheive the outcome of
erm . . feeling like they are speaking/throwing their voice to the end of the
room.

So here's the question.
Are they just creating/manifesting the feeling of their voice traveling to the back, as a technique to get them to bellow louder, or is it a technique of manipulating the voice and the voice IS actually carrying to the end of the room.

This is just an 'I wonder' question - I don't really care one way or the other!

Peace,

Al
